I started off with a FINISHED Midnight at the Oasis quilttop!
So I DID make the deadline of january 3th of the QuiltALong. Linking up with a completely finished quilt on january 31th is not going to happen though, since I handquilt and it's impossible to get that done in 3 to 4 weeks,
I enjoyed this project só much that I just couldn't stop sewing:)
I'm even considering to make a gazillion orange peel blocks to add as yet another border...
this one is truly a stunner!!!
ReplyDeletebut ... if you keep adding borders, you FOR SURE will not get the hand-quilting done ... you could always make another whole quilt (nudge nudge)!!!
I know I already told you your quilt is fabulous, but really does fabulous do it justice? I can't wait to see your hand quilting :)
ReplyDeleteI Love this version! The black with bright colors is perfect.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous!! Good for you, getting it done by the Jan 3rd date. I'm still stuck on the applique border! :) I love your colors and the fabrics you've chosen... a true tribute to the original pattern!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty! Congratulations on finishing by the due date and the way you have put in those gorgeous stars instead of the churn dash - lovely!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your quilt! The bright colors look fabulous!

Wauw, dit is nog eens een finish! Ik word er helemaal vrolijk van. Erg leuk. Is dit een groepsproject of heb je het patroon zelf gekozen? ik heb toch wel wat gemist door de lange blogpauze.
ReplyDeleteHeb even verder gelzen. Vraag is al beantwoord.
ReplyDeleteWell, it's the 31st, and nobody got their quilt done. It's ok, and they're all beautiful.
ReplyDeleteyour quilt top is lovely. well done for completing the top. I like the stars in place of the churn dash border.
ReplyDeleteLovely. I love how different everyone's MATO is. Looking forward to seeing yours quilted.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely wonderful in every way, I cant wait to see how you're hand quilting goes, I'm not sure how to quilt mine and the task seems a little daunting but then I said that about the triangles and then the orange peels. . . :)
